Great haiku. You are so clever.
I adore the blouse you just completed. It looks great on you. Awesome color, too.

*snort* Anyone not related to me (IE the baby pays in hugs and kisses) would spend *lots* of money to make me sew for them.

I just downloaded my first Burda pattern. Does this thing actually have seam allowances included? Do my eyes deceive me?

Hi Patricia. Burda envelope patterns have seam allowances included, to the best of my knowledge (at least the ones put out in the last few years.) Burda magazine patterns do NOT have seam allowances included, and the Burda downloads from the magazines also do not. Patterns created specifically for the Burda Style website as downloads (i.e. they do NOT also appear in the magazine) may or may not have seam allowances depending on the pattern. Confused yet? :) My general rule of thumb with any Burda pattern is that if it doesn’t specifically say on the pattern that there is seam allowance included, there probably isn’t.

Thanks Selfish! My pattern says it has 5/8 seam allowance included.
I have another dilemma: I need some advice regarding purchasing fabric online. My first and only attempt resulted in a few yards of fabric that was not what I expected!

I do not need this haiku on a t-shirt; I need to tattoo it on my forehead.
